The circumference of the dial is decorated with rhinestones, and finally the box itself is decorated with fine carving bronzes representing on each side musicians nymphs . On the base an eagle in stretching its wings while the ring is a crown of laurels.
The barometer is encased in its original box wrapped with leather decorated with festoons of gold.
