Oil on canvas. Painter from the south of France, Marius Barret (1865 -?), lets go his hand to more freedom. The rich colors of purple mauve of the mountains and the large flat turquoise sky of spring, make crackle the ochres of the chapel. To express the stratification of the erosion of the soils, Barret makes bleeding the red from a superposition of colors modeled in different textures.
