This object push away the ash from the fire. It's an innovation of the nineteenth century: to retain the slag and also to put ones feet on to keep them warm. In Regency style, gallery links two andirons in bronze. They are decorated with of a woman's face in the middle.
The draw of the gallery plays with the matte gold and the shiny gold. Its center is decorated with an oval surrounded by foliage.
